Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to TeamForge. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also provide optional profile information such as a profile picture, your position, and jersey number.
  • User-Generated Content: We collect the content you create and upload to the Service. This includes training check-ins, text reflections, photos, videos, workouts you create, and messages you send in team chats.
  • Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your interaction with the Service, such as check-in frequency, features used, and technical data about your device.
  • Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we collect a device token used solely to deliver notifications to your device (e.g., team activity, chat messages, reminders). You can disable notifications at any time in your device or app settings.
  • Billing Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and processes your payment details directly. We do not store your full card number. We retain limited billing-related information, such as your subscription status, plan, and renewal date, to manage your account.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Service.
  • Personalize your experience, such as showing you relevant workouts and team activity.
  • Communicate with you, including sending service-related notifications and responding to your inquiries.
  • Analyze usage to understand how our Service is used and to improve it.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions for paid plans.
  • Generate AI-assisted workout and drill suggestions when you use those features.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your team: Your information, such as your name, profile picture, and check-ins, is shared with other members of your team, including your coach, as this is a core function of the app.
  • Payment processing: If you subscribe to a paid plan, your billing information is shared with Stripe, our payment processor, solely to process your payment and manage your subscription.
  • AI-assisted features: If you use the AI workout or drill generator, the information you enter (such as a workout goal or description) is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not send your name, email, or other directly identifying account information as part of these requests.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage

Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase, a service that provides robust security measures to protect your information.

6. Your Control

You can access and update your profile information at any time through the app's profile settings, including managing your notification preferences and, if subscribed, your billing details. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at the email address below.

7. Children's Privacy (Youth Roster)

TeamForge is designed for athletes 13 and older to manage their own account. For younger athletes, we offer Youth Roster: a parent- or guardian-managed profile rather than an independent account for the child.

What we collect for a Youth Roster athlete: first and last name, and training activity (such as check-ins and assigned workouts) entered by the managing parent or the team's coach. A Youth Roster profile does not have its own login, cannot send or receive chat messages, and cannot upload photos or videos.

How consent works: before a Youth Roster profile is created, the parent or guardian creates their own TeamForge account, reviews what information will be collected about their child, and confirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian.

What other team members can see: a Youth Roster athlete's full name is visible only to the managing parent and the team's coach. Other team members see only a first name and last initial.

Parental access and deletion: a parent can review or permanently delete their child's Youth Roster information at any time from the "My Children" section of their TeamForge profile, without needing to contact us.

If you believe a child has an independent TeamForge account, or have any other question about a child's information, contact us at the email address below.
